It is run by Falkirk Town Centre Management who has brought together the support of the two major shopping malls, independent businesses, shops and local food groups.
The net result is a highly vibrant market held within the pedestrianised High Street. It attracts many of Scotlands most respected producers who recognise its well managed status, as well as several thousand visitors each month. Reflecting seasonal availability, a wide variety of top quality, fresh and prepared produce is available.
This includes; Highland and Aberdeen Angus Beef, fresh and smoked fish and seafood, dry cured bacon and pork, moorland lamb, ostrich, smoked meats and venison, award winning dairy produce and cheeses from the islands, the Borders and Ayrshire.
Other specialities include flavoursome vegetarian savouries and gluten free baking, hand made confectionery, preserves, chutneys, delicious soups, honey, free range eggs including duck and quail, organic vegetables and an ever-changing selection of vegetables, tomatoes, summer soft fruits and a selection of olive-based appetizers and snacks.
As for beverages there are excellent raspberry and blueberry juices, Hebridean whisky liqueurs and speciality coffees and teas. Part of the joy of the market is the knowledge and sense of humour of the stall holders!
The special experience is completed by roving musicians, whilst from May until December there is a group of carefully selected crafters, adding to the event. You are warmly invited to come and enjoy this outstanding event, conveniently located, and accessible to other key visitor attractions.
