Originally Kilmacolm’s Railway Station, Carriages is now the area's premier bar and restaurant location serving mouth-watering cuisine and an array of the best beverages including gins, spirits and cocktails

Carriages is situated on the old Glasgow to Greenock railway line in the beautiful conservation village of Kilmacolm. Nestled beside the cycle track, it has, since its refurbishment in 2019, become a favourite destination for cyclists, walkers and food and drink connoisseurs alike.
In the middle of an open-plan lounge is the stunning centrepiece bar with its wide choice of the best gins and spirits Scotland can provide. Our cocktail menu is filled with old favourites as well as modern concoctions for the more adventurous and a cold pint is always available. If coffee and cake is all you require then settle down in front of our fire and feel free to bring in your four legged friend to sample our ‘Dugs Menu’!
Our gastronomic delights are served throughout the venue but you may wish to relax in the beautiful surroundings of our restaurant for a quiet lunch, a romantic dinner or a family meal and our Beer Garden is always a popular place for a drink with friends.
Recently nominated as Gastro-pub of the Year 2021, our chefs are experts in producing delicious Scottish cuisine and tantalising new recipes. Our menu is regularly changed, locally sourced and with daily Specials, Vegan and Gluten-free menus, Carriages caters to every palate and every occasion.
