Join filmmaker Zoe Paterson Macinnes for a short editing workshop on 21st April. The workshop will run from 1pm-4:30pm, in which time you will draft, shoot and edit a short scene using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Depending on numbers, we will ideally have a few different groups. In your groups, you will have just over one hour to create a short video using An Lanntair’s camera equipment (or your own if you prefer!) The video can be in any style you wish – once all the video clips are filmed, each group will be given another groups video to edit alongside their own, and have the rest of the workshop time to edit together a short scene. The idea is that you will have at least two video clips to stitch together, using your own footage and that from other groups, to show how different editing styles can change the same footage.
Suitable for young people age 12 – 16 with any level of experiences in video editing – whether you want to learn the basics of Adobe Premiere Pro, or would just like an opportunity to practice your editing skills.
We can make tickets available free of charge for young people who would benefit from this workshop, but for whom cost would be a barrier. Contact moira@anlanntair.com or joe@anlanntair.com for details.
This workshop is part of the Disseminate programme giving young artists opportunities to teach something which they first learned about (or were inspired to learn about) in An Lanntair. Disseminate will run throughout 2025, celebrating An Lanntair’s 40th anniversary year.
