With its superb outdoor area – featuring a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ – and town-centre location, Whisky Trail Lodge is a holiday home you’ll want to both retreat to and set forth from. Grantown on Spey provides everything you could wish for during a break from the norm. There’s a wide choice of places to eat and drink, including two of our favourite spots for a flat white – Fiona’s Wholefoods (a five-minute stroll from the lodge), and KJ’s Bothy Bakery (just outside of town). Grantown is full of other independent shops that sell everything from artwork to apples, making the High Street a very pleasant destination for a stroll. There are walking and cycling trails everywhere, and the River Spey is a short hop away through quiet woodlands.
