It is ideal for golfers, walkers or those wishing to explore ST Andrews and/or the East Neuk of Fife. This B & B Accommodation comprises one double room ( which can be converted to a twin) and one twin room purpose built for guests, with sitting room. Standing in the centre of Kingsbarns, this delightful and quiet B & B has spacious, airy rooms. Toilet and shower facilities are shared between the two rooms. Guests also have the use of a sitting room and dining area overlooking part of the gardens and are welcome to eat or simply relax outside when the weather permits. The accommodation is centrally heated and there are drying facilities for walkers and cyclists. Well-behaved pets are welcomed by prior arrangement. There is parking for 2-3 cars well off the road.
Full, continental and vegetarian breakfasts are available. Much of the food is grown in the garden or where possible sourced locally.
This B & B is ideally placed for the famous Kingsbarns links course and the St Andrews courses. It is a few minutes' walk from the picturesque sandy Kingsbarns beach and Cambo House and Gardens. In the village there is a pub and and the restaurants of Crail and St. Andrews are within easy reach. It is an ideal base from which to explore St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife, including Kellie Castle and Hill of Tarvit. For those with more adventurous tastes it is a short drive to East Neuk Outdoors at Cellardyke, which offers scrambling, canoeing, archery, canoeing and cycling.
Directions
Take the A918 and then the A917 towards Crail. You will pass through Boarhills and then Kingsbarns. As you leave Kingsbarns, the last road on the left is Back Stile. Travel along this road or about 400metres, passing 3 1970s bungalows on your left. Still on your left is a narrow drive between a beech hedge and a stone wall. At the top of the drive is the garage and the sign "The Yards" above. Go up the drive for parking space.
Getting there by railway:- You will arrive at Leuchars train station where you alight and take a bus to St Andrews bus station where you change for Kingsbarns. At Kingsbarns you get off outside the church, walk along to the last road on the left, Back stile. Walk down this for about 400 metres and The Yards is on your left, set back from the road and up a narrow drive bounded by a beech hedge and stone wall.
Getting there by aeroplane:- Flights will arrive into Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen, from where you can take a train or drive to St Andrews and then follow the routes above from St Andrews.
