The dictionary definition of Haven is "a place of refuge and tranquillity". It would be hard to find a more appropriate description for The Haven on the Island of Seil.
Seil Island is connected to the mainland by the famous 200 year old "Bridge over the Atlantic", and is only 14 miles south of Oban. It offers all the benefits of island life, but with none of the issues of accessibility.
The Haven offers breathtaking views of Seil Sound and beyond to the islands of Luing, Scarba, Shuna and Jura, and benefits from a large garden of approximately an acre. There is a fire pit in the garden which guests are welcome to use - the perfect place to star gaze or just take in the view.
The Haven will comfortably sleep 6 in three bedrooms (one double, one twin, one master double with en suite) and is luxuriously fitted throughout, including satellite tv, wood burning stove, dishwasher and tumble dryer. The Haven has been extensively upgraded with new decor, flooring, new bathroom and master bedroom with ensuite feature sunken jacuzzi and wet room and a new deck area. We work hard to keep the cottage in first class condition.
The Haven is an ideal holiday base - there is a lovely country pub in the village and a number of good quality restaurants nearby. The nearby town of Oban is the departure point for many of the island ferry routes, and the island itself offers plenty of opportunities for walks, boat trips, wildlife watching or simply relaxing.
