Shepherd’s Loch Glamping is situated on a working farm in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside, six miles from the dramatic North-East coast. Each of our huts has its very own unique character. There are two yurts, one with a hot tub; Otter House with its quirky interior and large round window; Graham’s Bothy our mini house, also with a hot tub; Dragonfly our wooden wigwam and The Wheelhouse, an actual boat’s wheelhouse still with the original wheel. All our huts have their own kitchen, toilet and shower areas as well as wood burning stoves for heat and cooking on. Each hut also has a camping stove, barbecue and either a 12V fridge box or cool box. All bed linen, towels, dish towels, pots, crockery and cutlery are provided as are a complimentary bag of logs, kindling and matches. Our site is arranged around four ponds. Guests can fish on our top pond which is fully stocked with trout. They can hire fishing equipment or bring their own. Guets can also make free use of the kayaks provided for their enjoyment or enjoy a session in our sauna. We are off-grid and generate our own 12V electricity supply with a wooden water wheel and solar panels. Guests can also enjoy the fire pit, our lovely waterfall, various viewpoints and locely walks. Tours around the farm can also be arranged. For rainy days we have The Fishing Hut which overlooks one of the ponds and has a communal seating area and a selection of children’s games. Our site is dog-friendly and we allow a maximum of two well-behaved dogs in all our huts, except for Crannoch which is pet free.
