North Coast 500 Pods Achmelvich
Achmelvich is a busy place in the summer, often being fully booked well in advance of summer. Our pods are a new accommodation option that we hope will see many more people enjoying this wonderful location. Handmade from timber, with all facilities, this glamping is closer to a hotel than camping.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that you’d been teleported to the Caribbean upon stepping foot on Achmelvich beach.
The fine white sandy beach and turquoise water of the bay are at first a stark contrast to the rugged beauty of the surrounding Assynt area.
Sand castle builders, water-skiers, sail boats, swimmers, kayakers & fishing enthusiasts alike, are a common sight in and around Achmelvich bay.
At night there are often (responsibly managed) bonfires where friends will share a drink or two.
Our glamping pods are handmade from high quality timber.
They are fully insulated and feature underfloor heating, meaning you can stay in our glamping pods in Scotland, even over the winter.
Every glamping pod has a double bed with hotel quality linen partitioned from the living space. This enables you to have the best sleep possible after a long day out exploring!
Each pod has it's own bathroom, with separate shower & towels are provided
Ok so we’re not sure we can actually class this as glamping anymore, it’s pretty much a hotel room…
The living space has an L-shaped sofa that folds out to a double bed.
The sofa changes to a double bed with the pull of 2 toggles and goes back to a sofa with a push.
It takes less than a second to change either way, meaning more time for sleeping & more energy saved for the next adventure.
Our glamping pods come with fully equipped kitchens.
These include a hob and oven & fridge freezer, kettles, toasters and microwaves.
