This delightful cottage is only two and a half miles from Stornoway Town centre. It’s a 30 min or 1.6-mile walk to Hospital nan Eilean, that’s about six minutes in the car. There is also a frequent bus service almost door to door. A few minute's walk in the opposite direction would take you to Riverside Gardens (known locally as Blackwater) where there is something for everyone: a great playpark for children of all ages and wilderness walks. Birdwatchers take your binoculars, you might be surprised at the variety of birds, migratory and residents that can be spotted around here. There is also a picnic area and basketball court, a kiddies obstacle course and zip wire.
