Beautifully renovated Barn Conversion situated in the rural village of Shiskine which lies at the edge of the Shiskine Valley. Central location only 20 minutes from the Brodick Ferry Terminal.
Mill Barn consists of 4 bedrooms made up of a double, king size, single and twin and can sleep up to 7 guests. All bedrooms plus a wet room with sink and toilet, Shower room with sink and toilet, plus a large kitchen are all situated on the ground floor.There is also a study room with a desk so you can sit and use your laptop by connecting to the free wi-fi. There are books and dvd's for your use on those rainy days plus information on what to do on Arran. There is a washing machine and tumble drier so you can keep up with any washing as you go so no mountain of washing when you get home. In the spacious kitchen there is a dining table which can be extended to seat up to 8 guests. Upstairs there is a spacious lounge which overlooks the kitchen, with large screen tv and dvd/ blueray player. Mill Barn is heated by an Air to Air Heat Pump with additional convector heaters in each bedroom. There is a large enclosed garden with patio, perfect for those warm days. The is parking for two cars along the side of the barn in the shared lane.
A few minutes walk and you can view the hills and look towards the nearby village of Blackwaterfoot. A five minute drive and there are the local shops, golf club, riding stables and hotel which has a swimming pool that is open to the public, restaurant and public bar. There are a few eating places in Blackwaterfoot or you can find them all over the island.
Arran has spectacular views and is a great place to either do outdoor activities or just relax on the beaches, in cafes, even shopping on Arran can be done in a slow and relaxing pace. There is lots to do and see on this beautiful Island and Mill Barn is the perfect base for your stay. I look forward to welcoming you to our former family home which we lived in for 11 years and know that you will enjoy your time spent here.
