A recent conversion from three bedrooms to a single storey holiday cottage to a very high standard giving guests privacy, peace and quiet with their own entrance, parking area and courtyard where they have stunning south facing panoramic views. The interior has been altered and decorated to a very high standard, boasting character, charm and warmth. Guests also have the use of the owners large garden, with tranquil woods at the back of the property for interesting walks and for spotting red squirrels and deer.
The cottage consists of one double bedroom with a 5 ft bed, double wardrobe and chest of drawers and ensuite shower room. The spacious kitchen/dining area/lounge is fully equipped and up to four people can sit comfortably around the kitchen table. There is a large sofa bed in the lounge area with another bathroom, with shower, leading off this part of the cottage. There is free view TV and wi-fi as well as a cd player which has an i-pod docking station and DVD player. There are solid wooden floors throughout, with efficient underfloor heating, and the whole cottage is furnished to a very high standard.
The cottage is connected to the main house and is off a little lane which leads from the A85. There are 20 golf courses within a 15 miles radius, including Gleneagles (12 miles away). This is a rural location in the heart of picturesque Strathearn and at the gateway to the Highlands of Perthshire. You will enjoy a peaceful scenic stay which ensures a relaxing break. However there are opportunities for some varied and interesting walks (for all levels of walkers including hill walks) as well as loch and river fishing (River Earn has rainbow and brown trout) and mountain biking and water sports at Loch Earn. Crieff town is two miles away and Comrie village is five miles in the opposite direction. The Glenturret Distillery (Famous Grouse) is just over a mile away. There are award winning restaurants in both Crieff and Comrie. Attractions further afield include The Trossachs, Loch Lomond, St Andrews, as well as the cities and towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow which are all an hour's drive away.
