Oystercatcher View is the first of two Shepherds huts that will be located on the site. The second hut being built off site next year and due for completion in summer 2023. The shepherd huts and garden area is fenced off and secured with a gate to the car park area.
Oystercatcher View has an outdoor bath on decking and is surrounded by a privacy fence and has outside fairy lights. The decking leads to the entrance of the Shepherds hut via a sloped decking area. Also, outside is a picnic bench and fire pit with BBQ grill.
Inside the Shepherds Hut there are two fixed bunk beds (only suitable for children) and a fold down king size bed (for adults). When the king size bed is inside the wall, a table can be folded down to make the dining area. There is plenty of storage with two cupboards above the wall bed, storage under the benches, a drawer under the bunk beds and a wardrobe area for all your hanging items.
Opposite the bunk beds is a fully equipped kitchen with combi-microwave, 2-ringed hob, full size under counter fridge, toaster, kettle and all cooking utensils to make and serve some delicious meals. There is also a fire pit with BBQ grill outside for outdoor cooking. We supply one large bag of wood, kindling, firelighters, matches for a 2 night stay. More wood may be purchased on requested.
There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin sink. The hut is very well insulated, so stays at an ambient temperature all day, for extra heat we have a towel radiator and plinth heater.
We provide welcome basket of tea, coffee, sugar, filter coffee, milk, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and freshly made home bakes. Salt/pepper and oil for cooking. Also, bubble bath and hair/body wash for the shower. All linen, towels and dressing gowns and slippers are provided.
The Shepherds hut site has a secure car park next to the hut site. The local shop, play park and walk up to The Doune is only a 10 minute walk away. There is a secure lockable bike shed in the car park which will hold up to 4 mountain bikes for guests to use.
