Invergloy Riverside Lodges are open all year round for week long Saturday to Saturday holidays and also short breaks for those "get away from it all" opportunities. Up to 2 pets are very welcome at no extra charge and children can enjoy the safe play areas and plenty of garden to explore. Each Lodge has its own outdoor furniture on private enclosed decking. There is a barbque hut on our private beach. and Grillikota (indoor barbeque) to make the most of all seasons.
Invergloy is situated where the River Gloy flows into Loch Lochy through a rocky gorge with spectacular waterfalls. There is vehicular access to the loch side where we have a private shingle beach where you may launch and moor your own boats, fishing is free of charge. We also have a private lochan stocked with rainbow trout and perch, and can offer rod hire if desired.
With only three uniquely designed timber lodges on this large property you will have an unrivalled sense of privacy and seclusion. We strongly believe in sustainable tourism and supporting our local economy and wherever possible and have taken measures to ensure this, from good recycling facilities to sourcing many Scottish made products for you to use and enjoy in the lodges.
The Lodges each sit in an elevated position on our 14 acre woodland garden overlooking Loch Lochy and the mountains beyond with a cosy wood burner inside to keep you warm on those cold highland evenings.
All lodges sleep up to 6 persons in three bedrooms:
Upstairs is one super king bedroom which can be converted into two twin beds and one double bedroom. On the main floor there is one bunk bed room.
The open plan Kitchen, dining and Living room on the main floor has huge unique windows on three sides opening the space up to the beautiful views surrounding it. With a well equipped kitchen with adequate cutlery and utensils and highland stoneware crockery and all the essentials including fitted ceramic hob, oven microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and more.
In the Lounge there is a real wood burning Charnwood stove and a complimentary basket of logs, a flat screen TV/DVD player and a good selection of games and DVD’s. The lounge leads onto a large enclosed decking area overlooking the gardens and Loch Lochy a perfect place for a glass of wine in view of the sunset and also a safe play area for children and pets. Up to 2 pets are also welcome at Riverside at no extra charge.

Whilst at Riverside:
- Located in the heart of the great Glen, close to the Commando Monument, Nevis Range, Clan Cameron Museum, the road to the isles and many more. There are unlimited day trips from Riverside whether it’s walking, cycling, skiing, or sightseeing there is something for everyone.
- With a private beach located on Loch Lochy which is also Day 2 of the Great Glen canoe trail, why not bring along your small fishing boat, canoe or kayak for easy launching.
- With 14 acres of woodland garden to explore you may find no need to leave Riverside.
- There is a beautiful river gorge through the property with a walking path along to stunning waterfalls.
- Walk from there down to the private beach only about 2 minutes from your lodge and don’t forget your fishing rod! With fishing rights from our private beach on Loch Lochy for many species including Brown Trout, Pike and Arctic Char or continue on to our small Lochan perfect for the kids stocked with Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Perch, and Golden and Blue Orfe for fun catch and release fishing.
- For the little ones there also a play area with swings and slide and some great garden games.
- Continue your walk along various paths including a rhododendron tunnel which leads to old Invergloy House’s historical boat house and the site of the original Invergloy estate house which was lost in a fire in 1948.
- Admire the 200+ species of rhododendrons and azaleas amongst the gardens
- Watch out for a variety of birds and wildlife including Roe and Sika deer, pine marten, otter, pheasant, heron, osprey are all regular visitors plus many more.
- If you really love to spot wildlife while you are here take a big 5 safari with wild west safaris for a change to spot locally some of Scotland’s favourite native species
Invergloy Riverside Lodges can also accommodate larger groups, the lodges are all connected by a nice garden path and Arkaig Lodge together with Blair Lodge and Cluanie Lodge can accommodate up to 18 people.
