Heriot Row is a fabulous first-floor apartment in the heart of the city overlooking Queen Street Gardens, giving the illusion of countryside rather than city centre. The property is located in Edinburgh’s New Town, an area with many splendid townhouses built mid-18th century during the time of the Scottish Enlightenment.
A five-minute walk from the doorstep in one direction and you’ll come to the city centre, the perfect place to escape for some retail therapy in the many famous high street shops lining Princes Street and the surrounding streets, or alternatively venture into the Old Town of Edinburgh and even the lost streets beneath. In the opposite direction is Stockbridge, voted the happiest place to live in Scotland (The Sunday Times) and home to a variety of small bespoke shops and cafés. In either direction you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and bistros where you can enjoy local and international cuisine.
The apartment itself is spacious and impressively decorated, showing off much of the original architecture of the building with a rich variety of furniture. A few unique and memorable features can be found throughout the apartment, including the secret walk-in wardrobe with bookcase door in the master bedroom.
The apartment sleeps a total of three guests and has a spacious living room, a large master bedroom, kitchen, shower room and a second bedroom. The master bedroom has a super king which can be separated to become two single beds, while the second bedroom has a single bed. The living room windows and the second bedroom look southwards across to the private gardens of Queen Street which guests do have access to use. The master bedroom and kitchen have open views to the north of the city and Fife.
The kitchen is newly refitted, kitted out with all appliances and utensils you should need to rustle up a good meal.
The apartment is well equipped with washing machine and drying facilities, dishwasher, microwave, iron, TV, DVD player, free WiFi internet, heating and lighting. There is an ample supply of towels and linen which are included in rental. There are no taxes or extra fees.
