Dog-friendly Heathpark House is an elegant, historic guesthouse, set in two acres of mature gardens on the edge of the market town of Blairgowrie. It was built in the 1830s as a retreat from the big city, and with its spacious, airy interior it still holds the same character of homeliness and peacefulness.

With the choice of bed and breakfast and self-catering, it's an ideal base from which to explore the wild Cairngorms National Park, the ‘Big Tree Country’ of Perthshire, nearby Angus, or just spend time away from the everyday. You'll be just under an hour and a half from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, and close to forest walks, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, Perth, Dundee and much more.

Heathpark House's garden is framed by tall trees and visited by red squirrels, a great variety of birds and other animals. Above all, we (owners, Meg and Chris) hope to give you the perfect bookends to your days here, from a great night's sleep in a luxurious bed, followed by a delicious breakfast, to a warm welcome home and comfortable guest sitting room when it's getting darker outside.

The breakfast menu is designed to leave no one out. It caters for meat and fish eaters, but we care greatly about choices for vegetarians and vegans, and high welfare ingredients. We're also dog friendly, as mentioned above. Our dog, Molly, insists on it.

Why not take the highest public road through stunning scenery to Braemar, Ballater, Balmoral and Tomintoul? Head for munros, glens, forests, lochs and nature reserves. Dive into Scottish history and culture at Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, and in Dundee and Perth. You’ll also be two minutes from championship golf at Blairgowrie Golf Club.
