eco indigo Glamping Pods
Self catering accommodation in the heart of the East Lothian countryside Slow down, relax & make memories with a stay on our working smallholding. Explore the beautiful beaches & countryside, enjoy surfing, hillwalking, golf & history.
We have two luxury pods - Bass Rock Pod and Belhaven Bay Pod - each for up to 2 adults only. Dogs are not permitted in the Pods, but are welcome in our 'Kennels Cottage'
The Pods are situated by an elevated woodland area, offering stunning views towards the sandy beaches of Belhaven Bay and over the sea to Bass Rock and the Isle of May. On a clear winter day, you may get a view of the snow covered Cairngorm Mountains. At night you can enjoy the soothing slow blink of lighthouses on the horizon, and on a good night, a spectacular star laden sky from the comfort of your bed. Both pods are equipped with a private ensuite shower room, open-plan kitchen and your own barbecue area with a chiminea available. Each pod is designed to comfortably accommodate two adults.
⚡️ With an EV charging point for use by our guests, you can explore the stunning East Lothian countryside with peace of mind. Please see below for full details of the amenities provided.
We also have a dog friendly two bedroom cottage “The Kennels” which welcomes families with children of any age, and has been fully modernised whilst maintaining period features throughout. With many walks and activities on your doorstep, come and explore this beautiful part of Scotland with your four-legged friends.
Kennels Cottage sleeps up to 4 people. The historic building, dates from the mid-1800s, and was built to house the Spott Estate’s dogs. Interestingly, the dogs had central heating whilst the Keepers in the adjacent Cottage did not! We now have underfloor heating, an air source heat pump and water on occasion from our own well.
Kennels Cottage has a master double bedroom with ensuite, a further bedroom (super king or twin) and a family shower room. The open-plan dining room with kitchen and lounge area has a wood-fired stove to complete your rural stay. The original Victorian dog runs double up as south-facing courtyards. There are outside ‘pod’ style Kennels for dogs in the enclosed courtyard. Up to two dogs are welcome.
At the back of the property there is a further courtyard with seating, a BBQ and a chiminea to keep you cosy.
