Originally built in the 1850’s, the property has been lovingly refurbished and is now a stylish, contemporary retreat. Every effort has been taken to ensure that the buildings original period features, such as the beautiful staircase, fireplaces and ornate ceilings, blend sympathetically with the hotels chic interior creating an ambiance infused with the elegance of the past and the luxury of the present. Surrounded by the romantic splendour of its own grounds, including enchanting woodland and tranquil gardens, it boasts some truly captivating views of the Sound of Sleat and the mainland mountains beyond. With a dedicated team of friendly and welcoming staff, it offers the finest Highland hospitality and all the ingredients needed for a truly memorable stay.
Each of the 22 en-suite rooms are uniquely styled and furnished, utilising luxurious Harris Tweed fabrics in a luxurious and contemporary style. Rooms come fully-equipped with all the modern amenities and comforts one would expect from a hotel of this calibre, including free Wi-Fi access, flat screen TV, bath/shower combo, luxury toiletries, crisp Egyptian cotton linen, direct-dial telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. There are plenty of room types to choose from, including standard, our romantic deluxe rooms, and cottage ideal for families or those with dogs. There are also three luxury lodges with king size beds, flame effect fire, dimmable lights and air conditioning as well as a luxurious Master Suite with lounge and conservatory. Bright and airy, many rooms also feature stunning panoramic views across the sea or the surrounding gardens and grounds.
The award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant has garnered an impressive reputation for the quality of its food and drink. Specialising in traditional Scottish cuisine with a contemporary twist, dishes are prepared using locally sourced ingredients from small island producers on Skye or from the Highlands of Scotland. Guests can choose to dine in the conservatory, with its stunning views of the gardens, or in the more intimate inner dining room with its beautiful original open fireplace. For pre-dinner drinks and casual dining, The Chart Room is open throughout the day and into the evening. The hotel is dog friendly.
