All 22 en-suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated with a strong emphasis on comfort and tranquillity but still having the Baronial home atmosphere. There are a variety of room styles from Deluxe Castle Rooms, Superior Rooms and Garden Standard Rooms, which are situated in the modern extension in the easterly wing of the Castle. The hotel has undergone some major refurbishment recently and there are many rooms of individual character.
The Castle's restaurant has maintained a one AA Rosette standard for the exceptional work of the team of chefs who work extremely hard every year continue their high standards and creativity, and making sure to incorporate all that the North of Scotland has to offer from local seafood to Highland venison. The award winning whisky bar is host to a vast selection of unique and rare whiskies to satisfy and intrigue all tastes, they have even crafted a whisky and wine list to compliment their dinner menu.
Golf in the Highlands
The renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club is the world's 3rd oldest golf course, and proves both challenging and exhillarating to all players. The course is situated along the shoreline with views of the stunning beach, and all within a 10 mins walking distance from the Castle.
Coming Soon - Dornoch Distillery Company which stands on the grounds of the Dornoch Castle Hotel was dreamt up by Phil & Simon Thompson who are well known for running the Whisky Bar in the Dornoch Castle, they decided to put the knowledge and experience they have gained in the whisky industry into action and with a little help from crowdfunders all over the world they will now be creating an 'old style' whisky and organic gin, both from scratch.
