Crannich Holiday Caravans are located on a 150 acre farm nestled between the villages of Salen and Dervaig in a quiet relaxing part of the island, with panoramic views, burns and waterfalls, with great walks and sunsets.
The central location makes it an ideal base for visiting many areas of Mull and for viewing the abundance of wildlife in and around Glen Aros and the rest of the island. Golden eagles, white tailed eagles and hen harriers are regularly seen over the farm which lies within the territory of Mulls famous BBC Springwatch pair of sea egles Skye and Frisa near Loch Frisa. May and June are ideal times to stay for viewing the sea eagles and chicks on the nest. Crannich is a working farm breeding an elite herd of Highland cattle and black faced sheep. There are friendly horses, farm tours by arrangement, and regular visits of wild deer from the surrounding forests. It is a great base for walking and cycling in the glen and forest trails nearby. There is also fishing available (by permit) on the River Aros and Loch Frisa.
Crannich offers 4 luxury, well-equipped holiday caravans, set in their own grounds above the farmhouse and barns looking out over the glen each sleeping 2-4 people. Outside each caravan is a sitting area with a picnic table, grassed area and car parking space. There is a fenced off pond to attract wildlife which is home to the resident ducks, with a well established landscaped area surrounding the fenced off pond. The two dog friendly caravans have their own private fenced off gardens and there are also walks within the farm in our newly created woodland area.
