Stunning views make the elegant Restaurant so popular, that it is advisable to book in advance!
Visitors travel from all over the world to play the renowned Classic Links Courses of Machrihanish GC (10% discount for Craigard Guests) and Machrihanish Dunes GC. Dunaverty GC is also a fine challenge, with wonderful scenic views on a beautifully kept links course.
The three award-winning Distilleries in the town are an extremely popular draw for visitors from all over the world. Springbank Distillery, unique in that it carries out all the processes, from malting to bottling, on one site, produces three distinct Malts with different characteristics: Springbank (lightly peated), Longrow (heavily peated), and Hazelburn (unpeated and triple distilled). Their newer sister distillery, Mitchell's Glengyle, makes the lightly peated Kilkerran. While Glen Scotia Distillery nearby, owned by Loch Lomond Group, produces a range of peated and unpeated Malts.
The latest Distillery in the area is Beinn an Tuirc, making Kintyre Gin, a multi award-winning spirit.
Kintyre is a beautiful peninsular, with island views to South, East and West. Whether your interest is scenic beauty, golf, walking the Kintyre Way, mountain biking, Malt Whisky or Gin, ornithology, competitive running, or any of the multitude of watersports and leisure activities the area has to offer, we will do our best to provide a comfortable base. It is even possible to hire the whole hotel. All arrangements can be made to suit your individual needs - from tee times to transport.
Our aim is to ensure that Craigard is the Hotel in which we would like to stay - if we were away from home.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Roger and Lori
