Brymire House, a former croft house, which has been renovated to a high standard is a real home from home with unique and charming features, set in a great location with lovely views.

Each room has a colour scheme reflective of Orkney:
- main bedroom with king size bed is “Aurora” themed
- second bedroom with bunk beds reflects Orkney’s shore and sand stone and evening skies
- third bedroom with a day sofa bed feature’s Orkney’s shoreline and skies
- the open plan living room/kitchen summer/autumnal Orkney with cheeky hints of copper reflecting its many distilleries
- the bath/shower room sand, seaweed and rocky shoreline
- utility area featuring Orkney’s crystal clear light and sparkling sea and it has a washing machine and tumble drier.
Also featured throughout the property are canvas prints featuring Orkney scenes and nature. With a rural property, there is wildlife and nature on the doorstep; owl, hare, rabbit, pheasant, geese, song birds and on an occasion, a hen harrier. You may also be fortunate and view an Orkney vole.
There is also a drying green and a secure storage shed for bikes, kayaks, fishing gear etc
There is a very well-equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge freeze, microwave and dishwasher. Smart TV’s are available in the living room and the two main bedrooms and with your own app subscription you can view e.g. Netflix and YouTube.
There are three steps to the front door and one step into the living room and the two main bedrooms and two steps to the utility area. In the entrance hall there is the unique feature of a curved wall.
Nearby you can visit Sheila Fleet Kirk, Gallery & Cafe , or The Commodore (open for food on Fri & Sat evenings.) Why not visit Deerness Distillery – offering tours, tastings and a shop as well as take a way tea, coffee, cold drinks, Orkney ice cream and snacks!
A short drive across the Churchill barriers and you’ll find The Italian Chapel , Skerries Bistro and Robertsons in St Margaret’s Hope. Tomb of the Eagles and the Fossil & Heritage Centre are also worth a visit.
Orkney's capital Kirkwall, is a short drive away (10 mins), where you can visit Earls & Bishops Palaces Kirkwall , St Magnus Cathedral (St Magnus Cathedral tour times ), Orkney Museum, Highland Park Distillery and Scapa Distillery , to name a few of the attractions in town. The heart of Neolithic Orkney is a 30 min drive from the cottage, heading to the West Mainland where you can visit Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness . A further drive of 15 mins will take you to the Brough of Birsay , Broch of Gurness and Earls Palace Birsay.
