- Eriskay island, home of Bonnie Prince Charlie beach and site of the original Whisky Galore adventure, plus the Barra ferry (15 minute drive).
- All that, plus local hills for walks & hikes (walk from the door!), including Ben Kenneth, the main hill you see from our breakfast room window.

Free wifi reaches all our rooms. (This is the Outer Hebrides so streaming 4k movies isn't likely to work well - but for nearly everything else it's more than enough!)
South Uist is a wildlife wonderland. Sparrowhawks, twite, and wrens can be seen in the garden, plus local deer make an appearance at the fence from time to time. Look out for our neighbour's chickens too! Otters, seals and eagles can be easily spotted from the nearby beaches. Just ask for our printed guides on where to go and what to see on South Uist, Eriskay, North Uist and Barra.
