7 Howard Place
Fabulous property with a real WOW factor! 4 minute walk to The Old Course, central location in a pretty crescent, perfect for families or groups, ideal for 4 golfers wanting privacy. 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and dining patio with veranda.
Ground Floor
The main door entrance is at Ground Floor level up a few steps from the street- big black door. Once inside the vestibule our property, No. 7, is the door straight ahead of you. The door on the right in the vestibule is the door for the property 7A above us which occupies the top 2 floors of the building.
We have designed this house to be as flexible as possible, sleeping a maximum of 8 in our 4 bedrooms that can be twin or superking (Please note a UK superking bed is 6ft wide). This house is a winner whether you are a group of 4 or up to 8 people. It’s ideal for today’s multi generational holiday market or for 4 golfers wanting their own privacy.
On this ground floor entry level you have a glorious drawing room with 2 large windows facing east onto Howard Place and across to Hope Street. It is a grand high ceilinged room with lovely cornicing and is ideal for entertaining or for relaxing in front of fire (gas fire) and Sky TV. There are 2 massive sofas seating at least 3 people each and then there are 2 arm chairs. There is a real sense of calm about this room. Also on this floor is the ground floor master bedroom, again very large and with lovely seashell cornice detail. The huge windows are west facing onto our newly replanted garden. We have added in an en-suite shower room with loads of natural light to complete the master bedroom experience. Next to this room is a compact bedroom which is at its best set up as a twin but can be changed to a UK superking (6 foot wide bed) if requested (Room measurements are 10 foot 4 inches/3.15m by 8 foot 9 inches/2.65m). Next door is the shower room for this bedroom. Downstairs though we do have a further bathroom (Bathroom number 5) complete with bath which can be used by any of our guests looking for a leisurely soak or an extra bathroom.
Lower Ground Floor
Downstairs on the lower ground floor we have 2 bedrooms, a master one with en suite, containing both a bath and separate shower and a bedroom – then we have the Hummingbirds bedroom, we call it this because of its wallpaper – it has a good sized en suite shower room containing the most massive shower! As described above, this floor also has a further bathroom with bath for any guest preferring a bath. This lower ground floor also has its own access from the street and our golf locker is located out in the cellar area accessed by stone steps down from street level or from the house. Trolleys and/or clubs can be kept in our under street golf club locker or you can bring clubs in to our spacious lower ground hallway.
Our lower ground floor is the setting for our stunning hand made kitchen and generous dining area which is all open plan and flows beautifully. Our impressive dining table can seat up to 10 people and leading from the dining area you will find double doors giving you access to our large terrace where you can soak up the afternoon/evening sun as it is all west facing. Above the mantelpiece beside the dining table we have another Sky TV. We also have a utility room for washing and drying, located off the kitchen. We have a washer dryer and there is also a pulley for drying items and this room is kept warm so guests are encouraged to use the pulley for drying – handy for wet golf waterproofs. There is free wi-fi throughout the house.
Veranda/Patio/Garden
We also have a large glass covered veranda through the double patio doors from the dining area – here we have an outdoor rattan effect dining table for 8 where you can sit in all weathers and smokers can enjoy a cigar/cigarette. From the terrace/patio there is access via stone steps up to our outdoor seating area/sofa and then above that you have the garden with lawn and newly planted flower beds – it is a real sun trap out there.
