This flat is a superior pied à terre, with easy access to golf courses, shops , bars and restaurants. It provides a calm and comfortable oasis near to the town's West Port. 23 Argyle Street is a ground floor south facing flat sleeping 2 people in its sumptuous bedroom with king size bed. It is centrally located, only one minute’s walk from St. Andrew’s West Port. On arriving at the West Port you will instantly be amongst the bustle of the shops, bars and cafes of this lively university town. The flat is about 5-10 minutes walk from the first hole of The Old Course and because of its location all parts of town are easily accessible on foot. A minute or two in the opposite direction of the West Port you will find the Lade Braes which offers leafy walks beside the Kinness Burn. The flat has the original front door to the whole building and is all on one level with high ceilings. The property has one large bedroom at the back and a sunny south facing sitting room/dining area with bay window street side. The beautiful round dining table can seat up to 4 and we have one large sofa in the bay window and another medium size sofa alongside. The TV is 43 inch and is the latest Sony Android with Youview. The flat also has broadband. The bathroom contains a large walk in shower with a low profile tray.
Parking - if you are lucky you can grab a non paying space opposite the property, they become available at the end of the day. It should be noted that paying parking is available in the Argyle Street car parks very close to the property - £3.80 per day or you can park nearer the tennis courts and further down that hill for free. The parking area you see through the bedroom window is strictly a private car park for residents of the nearby Argyle Court.
Local activities in and around St Andrews, Central Scotland: St. Andrews has a wealth of historic monuments to visit. Wander around the University quadrangles and museum and really feel the sense of history that envelops you. St. Andrews has built its name on golf and the town and surrounding area will not disappoint.
Once outwith St. Andrews head off to Crail via Kingsbarns and the scenery will enchant you. Visit Kingsbarns golf course, as a player or a walker you will find the surroundings breathtaking. Move on to the fishing villages of Crail, Anstruther, Pitenweem and discover the harbours, pottery and art exhibitions in these seaside towns. Carry on down the coast to Elie with its award winning sandy beaches and take time to draw breath in The Ship Inn down at the harbour.
We are flexible on changeover days for your stay and 3 nights is the minimum short break in the off season and 4 in summer. We cannot accommodate Sunday arrivals.
