Hike the famous West Highland Way, Scotland’s oldest long-distance trail sampling some of it's most well known and celebrated stages. You can also follow the Caledonian Canal and visit ‘Neptune’s Staircase’ on the Great Glen Way to Fort William. Enjoy stunning views of Loch Lomond, the Trossachs National Park, Rannoch Moor, the Great Glen and Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in Scotland). Start your journey with a scenic train ride from Glasgow to Ardlui then take a ferry across Loch Lomond to begin your hike. You can also book a ride on the Jacobite Steam train (must be booked by the hiker). It's the best way to sample the view on the Glenfinnan Viaduct made world famous when it featured in the Harry Potter series of films, on your way to Mallaig, the gateway to the Isle of Skye.
