Walk 1: Marischal College to the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting - 1.25 miles / 2kms
Starting outside Marischal College, one of the world’s largest and most splendid granite buildings, this walk winds its way past amazing architecture, a haunted museum, an episcopal cathedral, an ancient market cross, and a bustling harbour. Onward through the Merchant Quarter, past a marvellous maritime museum, round the vibrant Marischal Square before ending at the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting, paradise in the centre of Aberdeen city.
Walk 2: The Kirl of St Nicholas Uniting Circular - 1 mile / 1.6 kms
See more of mystical Aberdeen, from the Kirk of St Nicholas past the ancient College of Robert Gordon, down streets with quirky shops, and past the site of Carmelite Friars. Pass through a tunnel before opening out onto St Nicholas Square with its variety of shops. Finally, climb upwards to a fabulous roof garden, before finishing your journey back at the Kirk and its lovely, peaceful churchyard.
