Scottish Cruises - Skye, Lochalsh, Lochaber & Wester Ross
Red Moon Cruises offers bespoke and exclusive small boat cruising on the Scottish West Coast. We specialise in sailing the seas and lochs around Skye and her islands, as well as the Lochalsh, Lochaber and Wester Ross coasts.
Many visitors visit Skye every year, yet few get to appreciate its grandeur, beauty and remote places from the most vivid of vantage points - the surrounding sea. Welcome to that opportunity...
No matter what may have inspired you to come to Skye or the West Coast of Scotland - the walking or wildlife, retracing ancestor's footsteps, a special event or simply the desire to escape on an unusual yet pampered break - we are delighted to provide. With a smaller boat carrying no more than four guests, we can offer idyllic laid-back cruises with the highest level of personal attention and bespoke itineraries, individually tailored to match those inspirations.Guests may book for two or more nights and we even offer special short summer cruises such as a day cruise or 'a night at anchor'.
Red Moon is, we believe, the perfect compromise for cruising in the Scottish Western Isles. She is small enough in length and draught to slip into otherwise inaccessible anchorages and remote coves, but she also offers spacious and invitingly comfortable accommodation for up to four guests Her cabins are craftsman-finished with bespoke light oak fittings in a welcoming contemporary style and the well-appointed galley and saloon is a bright and airy hub for relaxation, chatting and dining, with wide viewing windows. The large wheelhouse offers further room to gather in and there is also ample deck space and outside seating to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or simply drink in the ever-changing scenery.
Red Moon is powered by a fine Gardner engine, renowned for its reliability and economy. However, unusually among cruise charter vessels she is also rigged for sailing. Whether you are seasoned seafarers or wish to enjoy the novelty of appreciating the magnificent landscapes from a different perspective, she offers an experience to treasure - and you will become part of a new chapter in this boat's fascinating history.
Your hosts and crew, the owners of Red Moon, are husband and wife, Scott and Mary. We are an established team and highly qualified professional yacht crew with a wealth of experience in running both charter and private luxury yachts all over the world. We have high standards of service and really enjoy having guests on board and sharing both Red Moon and this terrific part of the world.
During the summer months Red Moon is based in Plockton, but in the Spring and Autumn cruises in the Sound of Mull area are also a possibility - just contact us to discuss.

Red Moon Cruises
Red Moon Cruises is a small vessel cruise business based on the Scottish West coast. We specialise in offering exclusive, private and tailor-made cruises in the Skye, Lochalsh, Lochaber & Wester Ross area. During Spring & Autumn, cruises may be available in the Sound of Mull area. We focus on giving our guests a relaxing escape with comfortable cabins, lovely food and warm hospitality. We like to seek out the varied and amazing local wildlife and 'out of the way' places which larger cruise boats may not be able access.
