WWII Installations at Burifa Hill - Accommodation Block
Local expert, Andrew Guttridge, explains the purpose of the accommodation block at the base of Burifa Hill, on Dunnet Head, the most northerly point of the UK mainland.
Andrew Guttridge is the renowned expert on WWII installations in Caithness. In the video he explains the purpose of the site, which is not now visible. Take care when visiting, as there are a lot of holes left when the materials were removed. The ground may not be very stable. The book, which is available from Amazon, guides you on various other sites in the County. Written by Andrew Guttridge, edited and technical support by Tina Irving, founder of the North Highland Way.

Friends of the North Highland Way
Enjoy a great day out exploring the north coast of Scotland on foot, mountain bike or on horseback. We can provide a passport to check into the churches along the route and help with great wildlife watching spots. There are in fact two routes, one along the coast and the other over A'Mhoine.
