King's Cave

Clyde Sea Lochs Trail

Legend has it Robert the Bruce sheltered in King's Cave before the Battle of Bannockburn. Whether or not it's true, the cave can be found on the west coast of Arran overlooking a shingle beach with impressive views inland across the island and out to sea over the Kilbrannan Sound. Discover the cave (and don't forget to bring a torch to see the intriguing carvings on the cave walls) and lovely forests along a three mile circular trail.
