Day Two: This world famous small island offers the whisky connoisseur fantastic options.
Tours and tastings are on offer at Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig. Each one with a local expert who can describe the special story of each whisky. We can organise a masterclass in whisky tasting where you may even go out into the interior of the island to cut your own peat!
Day Three: Today enjoy some of the other famous malt whisky on Islay.
Bowmore Distillery has enjoyed a stunning setting on Loch Indaal since 1779 and is widely recognised as one of the finest single malt whisky’s in the world.
On the northern shores of Islay is Caol Ila Distillery where you see distillers at work tending the six copper stills, and a magnificent view across the Sound of Islay to the spectacular Paps of Jura.
