We give access to essential services to help connect communities and support local economies. Our network stretches nearly 200 miles from Campbeltown in Kintyre to Stornoway on the isle of Lewis. Travel with CalMac and you’re travelling with a winning team – recent years has seen us win a number of prestigious industry awards from UK Ferry Operator of the Year to Best Ferry Operator. CalMac provides 130,000 annual sailings carrying 4.65 million passengers, ranging from 5 minute crossings to 7 hours sailings.
Our on board Mariners cafeterias offer a selection of hot and cold meals with vegetarian options and child friendly menus, all freshly cooked to order. This year we are celebrating the Year of Food and Drink and are showcasing the very best of the natural larder of the destinations we serve. We are proud to become the first ferry operator in Scotland to receive the Taste our Best accreditation by VisitScotland and are working hard to maintain the fresh quality of our ingredients and develop our menus which are rich in local provenance. We work closely with local suppliers to ensure the best quality and freshest produce which can be traced back to source.
On shorter crossings a selection of hot and cold drinks and lighter bites are available whereas on longer trips you’ll find traditional Scottish breakfasts, lunches and dinners along with daily specials, vegetarian dishes and a children’s menu. We also offer packed lunches to take away. Our award winning customer service is centred around on providing an enjoyable passenger experience – our freshly cooked dishes use more route-specific produce than ever:
