Travel along the beautiful East Lothian coastline and enjoy the picturesque villages of Aberlady and Gullane. See Direlton Castle, a 700 year old medieval fortress with a lovely walled Victorian garden and ancient village green. Pass Yellowcraigs beach used as a practice ground for the D Day landings in Normandy during World War II.
This stunning beach is the perfect place for a summer picnic in a vintage Volkswagen Campervan where you can listen to the sounds of the waves coming from the Firth of Forth.
Explore North Berwick’s quaint, narrow streets and wander into the beautifully preserved Victorian boutique shops.
The impressive ruins of Tantallon Castle perch on the cliffs overlooking the North Sea. The castle walls bear the scars of Oliver Cromwell’s besiegment and offer the visitor spectacular views of the coast from the castle ramparts.
Return via the historic market town of Haddington for lunch where St Mary’s, Scotland’s largest church, at over 200 feet in length, stands.
Enjoy a dram (drink of whisky) at Glenkinchie Distillery where whisky has been produced since 1837. A lowland malt whisky known as the Edinburgh malt take a tour of the facilities and learn how whisky is made.
This is a full day tour with lunch at Haddington however can be shortened to a half day tour if desired by missing out some of the attractions. Contact us for more information.
Scottish Classic Tours is managed by husband and wife, Duncan and Linda Cullen, both of whom share a love of Scotland, classic cars and history. Tours can be either half or full day dependent upon time spent at each location and where your pick up and drop off points are.
