The Abbotsford Experience

Rose + Julien are a professional photographer duo and real couple based in the Scottish Borders. They offer hand-picked photoshoot experiences in some of the Borders’ best locations. Ideal for adventurous couples and families – outlanders and locals.

The author of Romanticism in Scotland, Sir Walter Scott, made the Scottish Borders his home.

His former residence, Abbotsford House, is idyllically situated on the banks of the River Tweed, that runs deep through the very heart of the Borders. The historic house is a living museum of discovery, honouring the 'Great Scot' who popularised so much of Scotland's culture almost 200 years ago.

Discover history alongside capturing the joy of the present day during this unique inclusive experience. Visit the home of Sir Walter Scott and step back in time, enjoying the curious tour of Abbotsford's historical part of the house. Once immersed in the story of the Scott, enjoy a private photoshoot session with us, as we take a turn around the immaculate Regency Walled Garden and grounds of the estate.
