Oban, Mull & Iona: three-day private tour

Be inspired by the natural beauty of the Isle of Mull and unique atmosphere of its tiny sister Iona. On the way there and back visit royal castles and national parks, listen to Scottish myths and legends, and enjoy a private tour like no other!

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Our day begins with a guided tour of Stirling with its castle and historic Old Town. We then stop for a visit at Doune Castle of Outlander fame and later head northwest through the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park to the vibrant coastal town of Oban.

Day 2:

Morning ferry carries us to the Isle of Mull and after a short drive we arrive in its colourful capital of Tobermory. From here we venture on foot to a picturesque lighthouse, to later embark on an epic drive along the western shores of the island, stopping to appreciate numerous beaches and waterfalls. We end the day with an evening beach stroll near Fionnphort.

Day 3:

A small boat carries us to the Isle of Iona – birthplace of Scottish christianity and home to a thriving community. After some seal-spotting on the northern beaches, we visit Iona Abbey to learn its history full of saints, kings and clan chiefs. We then set out to discover the natural beauty of the southern part of the island, before an evening ferry takes us back to Mull.

Day 4:

We make our way along the southern coast of Mull to reach the ferry to the mainland – just in time for some of the best seafood Scotland has to offer. Then the road leads back to the green of the national park, where we take time to appreciate the peaceful waters of Loch Lomond.

Let us know if you have any specific interests and needs – we will adapt the tour for you!
