This classic walk explores the gorges of the Dollar Glen and has been popular with visitors and locals alike since Victorian times. There are many footbridges, viewpoints, waterfalls and the impressive Castle Campbell. It's a good walk although steep; care should be taken in many places. Day 3 - Mill Glen, Tillicoultry Walk & Japanese Garden
(Garden entry fees apply and they have a Café onsite)
10:30 AM - meet outside your accommodation
An exhilarating short walk through the stunning Mill Glen, one of the gorges that carve out the southern face of the Ochils. You’ll encounter numerous bridges, charming waterfalls, and the breath-taking glen itself.
The path is well-defined and frequently travelled, but be prepared for numerous steps and some rough spots, particularly where it has eroded into the river. This section involves a brief rocky scramble that requires caution and agility, earning the route a grade of 2.
Walk Details 1.25 miles - Time: 2 to 2.5 hours - Excluding the Japanese Garden Walk and lunchtime*

10:30 AM - meet outside your accommodation
The Alva Glen is a steep-sided cleft scored in the southern front of the Ochils range. This short walk up it follows a dramatic path, easy at first, which climbs up into this ravine. The upper part involves a steep ascent with precipitous slopes and ends at a viewpoint overlooking the Smuggler's Cave in the floor of the gorge.
Clear and popular path; the second section where it climbs across the flanks of the gorge has unprotected drops and steep ascent, so the walk is given grade 2.
So much to look at on this walk, you have the hidden waterfall and the smugglers cave you could scramble down too if able.
Walk Details: 1.5 miles| Approx: 3 hrs - Excluding lunchtime*
.............................................
Day 5 – Rumbling Bridge Walk (Devil’s Mill)
Followed by lunch at the Powmill Milk Bar - optional
8:30 AM - meet outside your accommodation ready to depart (with your luggage in tow so the cleaners can prepare for the next guests)
The Rumbling Bridge walk is a scenic trail near Kinross, Scotland, offering stunning views of the gorge below. This 2-mile walk is suitable for all skill levels. After the hike, enjoy a light lunch at Powmill Milk Bar, a quaint spot known for its delicious offerings and warm atmosphere. This concludes a perfect day trip to appreciate nature while indulging in tasty food.
Don’t forget your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery.
