Doune Castle

1 Day Outlander Castles &The Scottish Countryside

Iconic Outlander filming locations; Blackness Castle, Midhope Castle, Doune Castle, Falkland and Culross.

ITINERARY

We leave Glasgow and head to Doune Castle, known to Outlander fans as Castle Leoch, the home of Clan MacKenzie. Explore this impressive 14th-century fortress and imagine life in the Highlands as it was in the series.

Next, visit Culross, the setting for the fictional Cranesmuir. Wander the cobbled streets and see Claire’s herb garden. This picturesque village is a highlight for fans of both history and Outlander.

In Falkland, explore the town that doubled as 1940s Inverness. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and explore iconic landmarks like the Bruce Fountain.

Our next stop is Midhope Castle, known as Lallybroch, Jamie’s ancestral home.

Finally, take in striking Blackness Castle, which served as Fort William. Enjoy stunning views over the Firth of Forth, then we'll return to Glasgow, arriving in time for dinner.

*Our tours are conducted in English, by our guides, however, foreign language translations are available in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French and Mandarin, with more languages to follow.
