Route
The Eglinton Enigma is a 5 mile adventure around the grounds of Eglinton Country Park, Irvine KA12 8TA and should take you about 2-3 hours. It is really intended to be done by bike but you can choose to walk. If so, then you probably need to allow more time to complete the trail! The trail starts and finishes at the Visitor Centre in Eglinton Park. If you are arriving by car, then there is plenty of free parking in the park.
If you are arriving by bike on the town trail from Irvine or Kilwinning, then you may want to start and finish at the entrance on Kilwinning Road and use the nearest clue (number 29). Route information can be found at http://www.ayrshirepaths.org.uk/ (New Town Trail). This will obviously lengthen your cycle, especially if coming from Irvine!
Have a fun-filled time as you follow the clues, solve the riddles and complete the challenges!
Who Can Do the Trail?
