Join Skye Marine for a truly memorable wildlife boat trip from our own pontoon on the shore of Loch Greshornish, Edinbane - on the road to Dunvegan Castle from Portree. You'll head out into Loch Greshornish then on to Loch Snizort and Loch Diubaig and, depending on the time of year, you'll have a great chance of seeing seals, puffins, dolphins, porpoise, Minke whales, sea eagles and even otters + an abundance of other marine mammals and seabirds around some of the remote, uninhabited islands that we visit. Our experienced skipper will take you to the very best locations that can only be accessed by boat, like the Eas Tardil waterfall and the Ascrib Islands. Don’t forget to bring your camera!!
If you’d like to catch your own supper while surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Lock Snizort then book onto one of our fishing trips. Our skipper will use his local knowledge to get you to some of our best fishing grounds.
You can also charter a boat (with skipper) for an exclusive private tour of the lochs and see some amazing wildlife and discover about the history of our wee part of Skye. Bring a packed lunch and we’ll see about making a landing on one of the remote uninhabited islands if the conditions allow.
And if a boat trips isn’t for everyone in your party then why not book a croft visit to meet our sheep and Highland cows or learn to knit or spin with the wool from the sheep. These are run by Yasmin’s business ‘Island at the Edge’. The boat trips and the croft visits are all operated from our working croft on the shore of Loch Greshnorish, Edinbane, on the road from Portree to Dunvegan Castle.
