Set in approximately 80 acres of permanent pasture, the Sanctuary was set up to provide a permanent caring home for donkeys who can no longer be looked after by their owners.

Established in 2003 by Rosemary Dale, the Sanctuary provides a permanent home to donkeys and mules. Situated one mile north of St Boswells on the A68, we are open for guided tours at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday between Easter and New Year. You can help feed the donkeys and meet some of our other residents - llamas, goats, pigs and assorted wild fowl. We have a small shop where you can purchase gifts or sponsor a donkey.
