Clience Studio is a friendly, welcoming gallery for you to browse or buy affordable originals, prints, cards or other art gifts by Angela Lawrence.

Gathering inspiration from the beautiful coastal scenery of the Solway and Colvend coast, and from nearby landscapes of the Galloway Hills, Angela Lawrence paints expressive watercolour and oil images mostly of Galloway. Her signed limited edition prints are mainly from her Galloway paintings - and they make up possibly the largest collection of Galloway prints by one artist.

The gallery is open throughout the year and offers you the chance to view a large display of paintings. The style ranges from mainly a naturalistic and fresh style, to glimpses and impressions of land and seascape which are more semi-abstract.Alongside many Galloway seascapes and landscapes are other subjects including mountain views from the Lake District, and the Scottish Highlands and the beautiful blues and turquoises of the West coast and Western Isles. Angela is a much sought after artist who has exhibited in pretigious venues across Scotland and elsewhere, and frequently paints to commission and enjoys the challenge of a new subject or a special brief. Although you may see Angela's work exhibited at other galleries, it is here that her newest works can be seen still on the easel or drying on the rack in the studio, and you can chat to the artist and often see her at painting. I am now glad to be open and welcome you again after the Covid 19 closures! I have all government guidance safety and distancing measures in place, with up to one family at a time, and you are welcome to drop in to browse or buy. You can also book a time slot if you wish to avoid a possible wait due to the limited numbers in at one time or if you wish to discuss a possible commission for example. I recommend a call or e mail in advance if travelling a long distance - just in case of unavoidable adjustment to the time.
