Inland, 9 holes, 4878 yards (18), SSS 63, par 66
Aigas is situated at the foot of Strathglass, an area renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and great wealth of wildlife. Full use is made of the undulating parkland lying snugly between the fine Aigas Forest and the peaceful River Beauly immediately before it plunges down through the gorge at An Druim.
Playing o'er the Dyke and onto the secluded second green requires accuracy to keep out of trouble. The sixth tee overlooking the river refreshes the mind and spirit before facing the challenge of this swinging fairway to the dramatic gorge green. The long hitter may be tempted to take a short cut over the bend of the river, but a sliced shot here will end with a splash!

Aigas golf course was established in 1993 as a farm diversification project and has been operated by the Masheter family as a commercial ‘pay as you play’ course since then.
It was thought that the idea of building our own golf course would compliment our already well-established holiday cottage business and make use of some poor agricultural land overlooking the farm. Our friend and golf course designer, Bill Mitchell PGA of Grantown on Spey, had other ideas, however, and quickly dismissed the idea of constructing a course on steep terrain and opted for the more naturally undulating land on the valley floor which has been perfect for the par 33 parkland course
Large greens and wide undulating fairways are a popular feature of this course and some of the beautiful scenery surrounding Aigas can be seen by viewing the photo gallery on this webpage. The course has matured well during the first 19 years of play and we focus to keep it well manicured at all times. We have added a number of water features, bunkers and recently a well-equipped practise area adjacent to the clubhouse. New enhancements for 2012 will be a new chip and run facility for the practise area and the widening of the 6th Tee by the by the river next to the gorge.
We are always looking to make further improvements to enhance this challenging course. Aigas Golf Club was formed in 1994 and members enjoy a variety of competions throughout the summer months.
Having a small club at Aigas enables visitors to enjoy a game at almost any time, although booking is advisable for play at weekends and for large groups. We always aim to offer our holiday clients and golfing visitors a warm welcome and are happy to provide any information on golfing in the Highlands. Aigas cottage clients enjoy a 50% discount on green fees
Within an hours drive there are 25 other courses courses including three of the very best: Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch and Nairn.
