Prior to opening in 2007, we were keen to have a name which not only represented us but the way in which we wanted everyone to experience our Coffee Shop….thus the name Graze was born. Not only is it a play on Lorraine’s maiden name of ‘Gray’ but it also translates as eat, feed, nibble, with the exact translation being ‘to eat small amounts of food many times during the day instead of sitting down to eat meals at particular timetable…perfect we think!
Having grown up in the hospitality industry, my husband Martin was always keen to have a business in his home town, and we were lucky enough to establish our little business in ‘Sunny Dunny’ in December 2007, having only 16 seats in our quaint coffee shop.
We soon realised our need to expand due to customer demand and we moved to No. 65 High Street soon after, opening on the memorable date of 4th July 2009. Our enviable position in the centre of Dunbar High Street on the “sunny side” of the street is ideal with ample on street parking spaces and within easy walking distance from all of Dunbar’s attractions.
Great coffee is no coincidence; rigorous quality control makes our freshly ground beans truly irresistible. Daily home made soups, lunches, scrumptious cakes, wide selection of tray-bakes, together with sweet and savory scones await your every visit.
Our lovely courtyard provides a quiet place to enjoy a coffee alfresco and perhaps indulge in one of our tasty lunches or delicious home baked cakes.
