TwoStones B&B is a traditional stone built highland property constructed in 1835. The award winning house was recently refurbished and we currently offer three modern double bedrooms. All rooms have spectacular views across the Arrochar Alps and loch Long, as well as high levels of comfort and hospitality offered by the owners.
TwoStones is located at the centre of the village of Arrochar which is just 2Km from Loch Lomond. The village is part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and lies just 30 miles north west of Glasgow. It has a railway station on the world famous West Highland line linking Glasgow to Fort William, Oban and Mallaig. There are several Citylink bus services per day direct to and from the centre of Glasgow linking Arrochar to Inverary, Dunoon, Oban and Campbeltown.
TwoStones B&B is ideally situated as a stop off for those on their way to or from the Western Isles ferry ports or for those wishing to explore the Central Highlands and spectacular West Coast. Three restaurants, three bars, three tea rooms and a fish &chip shop are within walking distance, a mini market is situated almost next door and there are many restaurants from pub grub style to fine dining to be found within a 30 minute drive.
Sea and Loch fishing are available close by as are plenty of visitor attractions. These include historic castles and other buildings of interest, whisky trails and a sea plane experience. Walking and mountaineering opportunities are all around to suit all capabilities. Cruising is also available on nearby Loch Lomond which allows access to the West Highland Way. The cities of Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached easily for a day of city exploration. Wild life abounds and dolphins, seals and otters can often be seen in our Loch, red deer, squirrels and pine marten are in the woodlands and skywards we have gannets, cormorant, buzzards, eagles and occasionally the hen harrier.
