The Accommodation
The Urquhart is set over two storeys, with sleeping accommodation on the upper floor for 6 guests with a large Master Bedroom, Twin Room and Double Room, each named after nearby castles, The Barra, The Fyvie and The Mounie. These are complemented by a mezzanine style sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, two modern walk in shower rooms, and a work space area.
On the ground floor, you will find The Garden Room, for eating and socialising, leading through to the the vaulted ceilinged, Pheasant Bar, complete with your own bar to host, pool table, football table and on further to The Den, for TV/Games /Books and some snug and quiet recreation.
The Location
The bustling town of Oldmeldrum, is ideally situated for visitors on the Castle and Whisky Trails and staycationers, as well as those coming to work in the area. It has ample parking and facilities with some excellent local businesses providing a warm welcome to new faces.
Nearby are several prestigious wedding venues, including Meldrum House Country Hotel, and Barra Castle, both less than 10 minutes away. Or how about some fun at Lochter Activity Centre, explore the beautiful Pitmedden Gardens and historic Haddo House or a ghost hunt at the exceptionally stunning Fyvie Castle?
For the more adventurous, Bennachie is an excellent climb, suitable for all the family and pets, or head out to the coast for some exceptionally quaint villages and a chance to see some seals at Newburgh and Balmedie Beaches.
