Welcome to The Snug
A newly built luxury self-catering apartment for two
ACCOMODATION
It’s important to us that your stay at the Snug is relaxing and as comfortable as possible. It’s our aim that you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door.
The accommodation is a semi open plan design which consists of a fully fitted well equipped kitchen with gas oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, food steamer, slow cooker and casserole dishes. There is a rustic solid acacia dining table with high back leather chairs for your romantic meals for two
In the shower room you will find a large shower enclosure with a luxury power shower, a sink and toilet vanity unit, fluffy towels and toiletries.
The lounge area has a log burning stove for your cosy nights in and a large patio window which opens onto a covered decked area with outdoor furniture. There is a wall mounted 32” flat screen TV with Free View and DVD player, leather 2 seater sofa with storage pouffe, solid oak nest of tables and matching console and IPod / IPhone docking station. There is also a built-in wardrobe with shelves and a vanity shelf with mirror, hairdryer and heat resistant pad for your curling tongs or straighteners.
The bedroom area has a King-size pocket sprung memory foam bed, luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, feather pillows and two solid oak bedside tables with lamps. There are also two stunning stained glass windows either side of the bed, which in the afternoon sunlight project the beautiful colours of Skye across the walls.
There are extra pillows and blankets should you require them for your added comfort.
The Snug is set within its own grounds close to the main house which is within a working croft.
From the Snug’s large picture windows there are uninterrupted views of the stunning Trotternish Ridge and surrounding hills. During the summer months Golden Eagles can be seen and heard gracing the skies. The winter months with dark skies and no light pollution mean you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, shooting stars and the magnificent Milky Way.
Watch the sun rise above the Trotternish Ridge, then in the evening take a walk and a bottle of wine and sit on “The Rock” on our croft and watch the sun set over the Outer Hebrides. While walking on our croft you may meet our sheep and horses that all love a wee scratch and pat.
For a romantic break away for two the Snug is the perfect place to stay.
