Borve Lodge Estate lies on the magnificent Atlantic coastline of the Outer Hebridean Isle of Harris and Tarasaigh House is one of the Estate’s cottages where modern living meets tradition.
Sleeping between 2 and 8 people, Tarasaigh House is a traditional stone-built croft house with enviable views of the golden sands of Seilebost beach towards Luskentyre
The well-appointed house is suited to couples and families alike and has a light, contemporary feel and is only minutes away from Seilebost Beach. The house was renovated in 2016 and retains the traditional look of the Hebridean croft house while benefiting from modern fixtures and amenities throughout. There is plenty of space to relax with the ground floor providing a large open plan living space. There is a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. The living area has one of the most famous views across the Sound of Taransay and towards Luskentyre and a wood burning stove provides a cosy feeling on chillier evenings. There is a separate snug also with a wood burning stove for quiet reading or when in need of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the main living area. The utility room has boot dryers which are useful when returning from any long walks which were unexpectedly wet.
There are four bedrooms; a twin room, a small double and a large superking room on the first floor along with a family bathroom; the ground floor bedroom benefits from an en-suite with walk in shower.
There is ample parking at the cottage for more than one vehicle if required.
For our more active guests, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities on and around the Estate. Our Estate is in the Borve Valley, which is one of the few areas of mature woodland in West Harris and is a perfect location for walking and picnics. Beyond the environs of the estate, the walking options are endless.
Fly fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout on the Laxdale River system, a stunning location in West Harris that extends into the Luskentyre estuary and on our Lochs and Lochans is also available.
Other activities available locally include photography, bird and wildlife watching and depending on the season, mountain biking, kayaking and surfing.
Prices from £1210 per week (low season).
