We have excellent transport links, with an hourly bus service going from Pentland Ferries in St Margarets Hope through Burray then on to Kirkwall and Northlink Ferries in Stromness.
For guests with cars we have ample parking. Kirkwall is a short 15min drive and Stromness only 30mins.
Tangles is a first floor three bedroom (one en-suite) flat. There is a fully equipped kitchen integrated with the living/dining room. From Tangles elevated position you can enjoy views over the 4th Churchill Barrier to the North Sea and over the heart of the village into Burray Sound and Scapa Flow. At night enjoy the view of the stars from the large sky window in the living room.
Tangles can accommodate up to 5 guests.
Kelpie is a spacious one-bedroom ground floor flat, with a wet floor shower room and kitchen with breakfast bar that adjoins the living area.
Kelpie accommodates 2 guests.
From both properties the beach is only a short walk away, or take a gentle hike up to the top of the hill and enjoy sweeping views out over the sea to Holm, Deerness, South Ronaldsay, Flotta and beyond!
Like a home from home our clean, comfortable flats have everything you need for a relaxing stay. We provide all towels and linens. Both properties have a washing machine and access to an outside drying area.
Locally we have the Sands Hotel which offers excellent meals at lunch and dinner, plus a friendly local bar. During April-September the Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre is a must visit and has a fabulous home style cafe with a tempting selection of homebakes!
