Expertly designed by award winning local architects R House, Skye Lair is a five star, self catering home for four with a minimal yet cosy ambience. Clad in local larch wood and elegantly appointed, Skye Lair includes everything you need to cocoon yourself in Scottish Scandi luxury, including a wood burning stove.
Set amidst stunning scenery on the Sleat Peninsula (known as the ‘Garden of Skye’), panoramic windows make the most of mesmerising, ever changing mountain and ocean views, compelling in any season.
Explore the ancient history, physical wonders and culinary delights of this legendary island from Skye Lair’s ideal location or simply curl up in front of the wood burning stove with a local treat from your welcome gift and watch the flames dance - the perfect definition of ‘hygge’ (or as we say in Scotland, ‘coorie in’).
Skye Lair is set on the hill at Teangue, just 20 minutes drive from the Skye Bridge and 15 minutes from Broadford. It overlooks the ruins of Knock Castle on Knock Bay and Torabhaig Distillery is a short walk away. Armadale Castle & Gardens and the Armadale/Mallaig Ferry are a few minutes drive along the road. Delicious dining out options close by include Kinloch Lodge Hotel, Toravaig House, Duisdale House Hotel & Restaurant, Hotel Eilean Iarmain, Deli Gasta at Armadale Castle and An Crub.
