Welcome to Real Farm Holidays – Roe Deer Cottage - Ideal for families, couples, fishermen or cyclists & walkers alike. Based on our farm estate, feed lambs, chickens, go fishing, or simply relax and enjoy the wildlife from our character cottages.

Roe Deer Cottage has a cosy sitting room downstairs with its open fireplace to warm up colder nights. There is a kitchen to the back of the cottage which leads onto a spacious dining room. Upstairs there is a double and a twin bedroom and a family bathroom which has a shower over bath, WC and basin too. Red Deer Cottage sleeps 4.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, and kitchenware. The heating and hot water is by our wood chip boiler and is included in the cost of the cottage. Roe Deer offers a basic but good level of accommodation and is graded 2 star by Visit Scotland. Free Wi Fi is available for all guests. . Bedrooms are fully made up with linen, and towels available on request. A shared laundry room is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, chest freezer and secure storage space, and a large games room is open to all guests for a game of table tennis, darts or snooker.

Enjoy a 'farm life experience' and visit the local animals, wander amongst the rolling hills and enjoy salmon and trout fishing on the loch or river. Many guests don't even leave Kirkwood as there is so much to do on the estate; whether you are interested in country sports or quad biking, wildlife watching or spa treatments. Situated 5 miles from Lockerbie and the thriving market town of Annan, there is plenty of local history, shops, pubs and restaurants to discover. Dumfries is also only 10 miles away where there is a wealth of attractions to explore, including a number of properties connected to Robert Burns, where you can learn more of the bard's extensive links with the region. Ideal for wedding parties as we are so close to Gretna, Springkell & Kinmount and can sleep up to 32 people in all the cottages.
