We have three high quality self catering cottages available at Press Mains Farm. Offering two cottages for two guests and a larger cottage accomadating six guests.
The farm is situated in a valley, surrounded by undulating arable farm land providing a peaceful rural setting with stunning views. Press Mains Farm cottages are an ideal base for long deserved summer holiday, a weekend break or a simple a few days away.
There is plenty to do and see both on the farm and in the surrounding area, with wonderful country and costal walking, diving, fishing, wildlife watching as well as exploring the fascinating ‘Borders’ history.
A few of the sightseeing opportunities are the Jim Clark Room, Gunsgreen house, Floors castle, Paxton and Manderson houses, Melrose Abbey and Abbotsford.
It is within easy access to the villages of Coldingham, St Abbs, Dunns and Berwick on Tweed.
The cottages are suitable for holidays all year round as they are centrally heated by our own biomass boiler fed by sustainable wood chip and each has its own log burning stove. Cottages are dog friendly.
The three cottages are unique as they have been individually converted from farm buildings and each has its own character.
Crofters: Crofter's Cottage is a stone walled terraced bungalow with stunning views across the valley. Original features include exposed wooden beams and stone work featuring a log burning stove.
Ideally suited for couples, the cottage features a large bedroom with a king size bed which can also be converted to a twin bedded room. There's a large flat screen HD television in the bedroom.
The living room and kitchen are open plan.
The lounge has access to the enclosed garden with barbecue and seating area.
Bothy: A luxurious open plan one bedroom cottage with views across the rural valley. The Bothy makes an ideal romantic hideaway.
A delightful stone terraced bungalow. Many of the original features, including wooden beams and feature stone work have been retained.
This cottage is perfect for couples who want to relax and unwind in a very romantic atmosphere.
It features a four poster bed, a living area and an original brick fireplace.
There's also a huge corner spa bath with overhead shower.

Castle Cottage: A delightful stone and slate semi-detached cottage built around the 1850's. Full central heating from our eco-friendly biomass boiler with added benefit of full double glazing. The cottage is very child friendly with ground floor facilities making it ideal for the less able.
There is one large double bedroom and two twin bedded rooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, big flat screen television, and lovely views across the farming valley. There is a twin bedroom upstairs and a twin bedroom downstairs with a cast iron ornamental fireplace.
The large living room has a stone log fireplace, three piece suite, pine table and chairs,
The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances.
The downstairs bathroom has an air spa bath and toilet. Upstairs there's a shower and toilet.
